Part 3: Instructional Ability

A practical test of the ability to instruct a pupil.

In order to pass Part 3, you must pass both sections.

The test is in two parts, each lasting approximately 30 minutes. First you will be asked to demonstrate your knowledge and ability by giving practical driving instruction to the examiner. The examiner will role-play from any two of the following options: a novice; a partly trained pupil; a pupil who is about test standard; a qualified driver undertaking driver development training.
