Part 2: Driving Technique

Eyesight test and a practical test of driving technique.

In order to pass Part 2, you must pass all sections.

After an eye test, you will be asked questions on basic vehicle safety, followed by a practical driving test lasting 60 minutes.
To pass the practical test you must drive to a high standard of competence, demonstrating the principles of eco-friendly driving, and a well planned, positive drive, adhering to and attaining national speed limits when safe and where possible.
 

When you have passed Part 2 and completed your Part 3 training, New Driver can help you to gain your Potential Driving Instructor (PDI) licence, which means you can start to practice teaching before you take Part 3 exams.
