Theory and Practical Tests
Before you can take your practical driving test, you must first take and pass a theory and hazard perception test. Our Instructors will help you with gaining the knowledge needed. They will also assist you with booking the Theory Test if you haven't already.

The Practical Test
Your Instructor will help you in all of the areas you will need to learn to pass. With local knowledge your instructor will be able to give you an idea of the roads used during your tests so you can familiarise yourself with them. We also recommend a mock test to help you understand what’s coming and help to steady any nerves.
Your practical test will take about 40 minutes. First you will have an eyesight test (make sure you take your glasses if you need them!) and 2 vehicle safety check questions
Then comes the driving bit. You will be examined on your general driving and on one reversing exercises. You can make up to 15 driving faults before you are failed. However one or more serious faults will also mean a fail.
Once you've passed your practical driving test you can then talk to your instructor about the Pass Plus scheme which could save you money on your car insurance.
